Here at DBP Home Improvements Ltd we offer you the opportunity to create the lifestyle you want in the home you love. Life In North Wales magazine recently spoke to Directors Garry Jones and Sian Gough-Roberts to find out more.
Describe your business in brief:
Home improvements involving all aspects of double glazing, conservatories, roof line and lots more.
What, to you, is the definition of customer service?
It’s so important to us to ensure our clients are 100% happy with the design, style and colour of products we are installing. We seek to deliver complete satisfaction from both parties at the end of job and then provide support from DBP over the ten year period and beyond.
What are the three questions you encourage customers to ask themselves when they first come to you to discuss a conservatory style extension?
Q1 What is the room to be used for? A dining room, sitting room, a snug, a bedroom? The desired use will influence many aspect of the design.
Q2 What style is required and colours and design and interior finishings – lighting & sockets, flooring, sills and skirtings.
Q3 What is the size of the room in proportion to the main house and are planning or building regs required. We provide support with every aspect of a home re-formatting or extension.
What has been the greatest technological advance in recent years that has made the greatest difference in what you offer to your customers?
There have been so many! From the progress in sealed units, insulated roofs, and the options of so many colours for all products. This of course means a lot continuous training for all our staff, but it’s our pleasure and pride to be able to offer our customers the ultimate in style and technology.
What one, optional, element do you encourage your customers to invest in, that you think adds the greatest value?
A Rated Glass is a must and pretty much standard these days as is security. Guardian Warm Roofs have also rocked the market.
Is it possible to take an existing conservatory and simply bring it up to date, in terms of improved materials, or do we need to start from scratch?
Yes, you can change your existing conservatory. It’s even easier if you want to upgrade your conservatory whilst keeping the size the same. By installing new windows and doors, and a new roof, you transform your home. You may just prefer to fit a new roof onto your existing conservatory, and this is possible too. You could also just alter the interior with new flooring, sills and lighting.
Do you always need to have planning permission for a conservatory/orangery? And is this something you can arrange?
No, but if required, DBP can obtain planning and manage all building regs. We are able to arrange everything from start to finish. In short, we project manage your home improvement project with us from start to nish. We only use qualified and certified electricians and plumbers and experienced builders, joiners and plasters. Our installers are MTC registered.
